AWESNA’s 56th annual convention theme, “Flourish: Sowing Seeds for the Future,” calls us to recognize that flourishing is more than personal success. In God’s kingdom, we flourish so that we can help others grow. We are blessed so that we can become a blessing. The knowledge, values, friendships, and faith we received from our beloved alma mater, PUC-AUP, were not intended to remain only with us. They were seeds entrusted to our care—seeds that we are called to cultivate and pass on to future generations.
PUC-AUP taught us the meaning of Christian service. Within its classrooms, dormitories, hallways, and places of worship, we learned lessons that reached far beyond academics. We learned the dignity of work, the value of Christian fellowship, the importance of perseverance, and, above all, the joy of serving God and humanity.
As an alumni family, we flourish when we remain rooted in Christ. Our branches may now extend across different countries, professions, churches, and communities, but we share the same roots and the same sacred calling. Christ is the source of our strength, and service is the fruit of a life surrendered to Him.
As we move forward, let us carry the banner of PUC-AUP with gratitude, humility, and renewed commitment. Let us continue to sow seeds of faith, love, generosity, and service, even when the work requires sacrifice and the results are not immediately visible. God sees every faithful effort, every prayer, and every seed planted for His glory.
His promise assures us: “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5, NIV).The seeds we plant today, sometimes through struggle, sacrifice, and tears, will one day produce a joyful harvest. Together, let us flourish, sow seeds for the future, and continue to lift high the legacy of our beloved alma mater, the school that trains for service. By God’s grace, may PUC-AUP continue to Shine on Forever.
